Delphi - Extract Bitmap resources from BPL

a delphi BPL is just a DLL. My interest is in those BPL's that contain the design time "icons" (they are in fact bitmaps mostly 24x24 and stored as bitmap resources). I want a simple class that will extract the bitmaps from all the BPLs in a nominated folder and its subfolders, display them and their names (usually something like TMYSPECIALCOMPONENT) and details (dimensions, colors) in a Treeview or a listview, and save them all -or those that have been checked - as .bmp files. There is no rocket science here, just a bit of persistence, and it will help to have an understanding of the PE format and resources in general. You can start with the delphi/demos ResXplor demo which does this and a whole bunch of other stuff I don't want, or it would be cleaner perhaps to start with the Jedi/JCL TJCLPEImage (but I certainly don't want a solution that requires me to install the whole Jedi/JCL framework).
