Debug Backup Application / Enhancements

We have a previously developed backup application that is client-server based and written in C++/C# and its very buggy. The software is three components: server, client and a web java applet for file-set selection and restoration. The web java applet communicates with the server which in turn communicates to the client app running on the users workstation. The client and server "talk" to each other performing the backup/restore of user data, compression and encryption. The entire application is already complete, there are just a few bugs which need to be ironed out plus we want to add additional functionality. We need someone who knows C++/C# and Java inside out to quickly debug and further enhance the application. Requirements include: 1. Fully debug server side of application (basic problems currently appear to be large file support [not using mapped memory, seems to be holding all data in memory], occasional client service failure on workstations, and a database issue concerning file data set expiry). 2. Create new Java based client backup agent that will conform to existing project specs and above requirements. Create installers for Linux and Windows code (with and without JRE included in installer or have it automatically download required software on install if necessary). 3. Add incremental file backup & restore support to server, client and web java applet. Need this completed as quickly as possible. I have advertising for this software going to start running immediately after Christmas, I need this done well before that time so we can fully test, debug and release. Lowest bidder wins. Source code for existing project will be supplied to those who I feel are qualified enough to take on this project. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
