I’m looking for a customisation to the DotNetNuke Wiki Module that will automatically link words within the contents of Wiki pages to existing wiki topics.? So for example, if I have a wiki topic named “Computing?? that contains the phrase “...using the latest GIS technology...?? and there is an existing wiki topic named “GIS Technology??, it would automatically create the link to that wiki topic.
I believe the automatic topic linking (ATL) process would need to be event driven in order to update the Wiki Cache and should be triggered by the following events:
* On creating a new wiki topic -the content should be searched by ATL and any relevant keywords & key phrases should be linked to existing wiki topics
* On editing and saving an existing wiki topic ??" the ATL should clear the cache for that page and re-index it.
* On deleting a wiki topic ??" the wiki cache should remove any existing links to the deleted wiki topic
* Forced or scheduled ATL of the entire wiki cache ??" this should clear and re-index the entire wiki cache for all wiki topics
If there is a better way of achieving the same result then please let me know.
Deliverables:? Along with the source code, this customised module should be delivered as a properly packaged module ready for installation in the recognised DotNetNuke format.? Therefore previous experience with DNN Module Development is essential.
