couchbase database and sync gateway

I have gone through the problem statement and have visualize the problem. I can configure the couchDb to be a http JSON API which can be connected to php or any application having support for making a http call. The thin that need to configured properly is the sync server. If you can explain me what technology or application is used as sync server then we would be in better for me to find the best solution. Awaiting for your response. Thanks and Regards, Manoj
