Build from scratch a small desktop application in C# or Visual Basic .Net to store and manage personal details about our clients. Firstly the application must be able to "import" the data. It means to get on line and request client's details from an external web site already implemented for us in PHP (no need to know PHP). You will deal with it as a black box. Just do an asynchronous web request specifying client ID and parse the XML response to get field's names and values for address, phone, post code and so on. Second, create a basic user interface and back end needed search, view, edit or remove a client's personal details (we don't care about graphic design at this phase).
You will provide us:
1) Source code in C# or VB (VS2010 and Framework 4.0) commented in English and using CamelCase.
2) Your scripts to create SQL Server 2005 tables, views, storeds and all DB objects you deem necessary to run you application.
This is part of a bigger project. If you successfully complete this assignment on time and according to the spec we'll consider you over other candidates to carry out the next two phases including reporting, design and testing.
