Hi jappanes,
What a groovy idea - I like it very much!
I see three parts to the app code:
* Get the ambient sound volume from the microphone (I already have code to do this)
* Blink the device (screen, or camera flash, or both?) (I have a "torch" app I can adapt for this)
* (The clever bit…) calibrate the incoming volume, to decide when to blink
Two issues:
* I'm iOS only
* "Housemusic" - really? I see it as more of a Radiohead thing, or perhaps Abba if we're being retro, but hey, live and let live!
I hope that issue one isn't really a problem, since iOS and <the lesser device> don't share any code, so there's no added efficiency in the same developer producing both apps. (But of course you can always choose wangping1126, to be on the safe side!)
Issue two is really a matter of testing the app with various musical genres, to make sure that the calibration works and the device blinks appropriately. I can test it here with a range of quality sounds, but I'm afraid the Housemusic testing will all be down to you.
Finally, I'm already thinking ahead, to further groovy things that the app could do! However, let's not get ahead of ourselves. This bid is for the basic "disco" version, as you have described it.
Best Regards,
- Rob Dixon.
