Develop a document control database in MS Access that provides a way to organize and track electronic storage locations of files received for projects. The tool should be specifically designed to manage data, flexible enough for data to be added on a recurring basis, searched, and retrieved in an easy-to-view format. For instance, the ability to view captured information by project number in batches by data type about the document description and destination, the document name and type, and time parameters would be most beneficial. A record of the staff that viewed or downloaded a document should be tracked. Requirements • Simple to use • Minimize data entry and processing errors • Easily identify the document source, name, and file format • Easily identify the location of a document • Easily identify the person responsible for logging the document • Easily Identify the person that received the document on the DATA team • Easily identify the person (if applicable) that received the document on the DATABASE team • Generate Ad hoc reports • Generate standard reports Data Elements The main data elements identified are the following: 1. Project Number 2. Document ID 3. Document Name 4. Document Description 5. Sender Type (Client, Subconsultant, Other)** 6. Sender Name 7. Sender Contact (Email, Phone Number) 8. Source of Document 9. File Format 10. Date Received 11. MTA Document Name 12. MTA Electronic Path – DATA Side 13. Saved By (DATA Team Member) 14. MTA Path – DATABASE Side 15. Saved By (DATABASE Team Member) 16. MTA Hardcopy Physical Location 17. Logged By (this should auto-populate based who has signed in to the log) 18. Action Taken (free text box) 19. Notes (free text box) Reporting Capabilities Below are examples of standard reports. The database should be flexible enough that a report can be generated on each field. 1. Document logged by project number 2. Number of documents logged per project 3. Documents logged by document description 4. Documents logged by file format 5. Documents logged by title 6. Documents logged by sender name and project number 7. Documents logged by date modified *** Urgent required****

Develop a document control database in MS Access that provides a way to .. => OK, what version of MS Access you want to use ? Access 2013/2016 ? Do you want to separate the backend database or will be there in same database as front-end ? How many users will be using this database at any moment ? Do you want this to be a multi-user database application ? 2. The tool should be specifically designed to manage data, flexible enough for data to be added on a .. => The document be stored on the disk OR it should be stored in the database ? If we store the document in disk it will slow-up database a lot, because when a document is added to database it increases size of database a lot. So I will recommend storing document on disk. But when storing document on disk, we can't assure if user has directly accessed document and that can't be tracked into document management system. Let me know your comments. i can make database in 3 hours first create table document, employee ,sender, database MTA, PROJECT THEN make relationships between them , one to many and make forms for employee,document,project,sender and generate reports,queries and i will send print screen to see how work to make database wait your chat
