Axis application with attachment I'm looking for a simple Apache Axis (not Axis2) web service. The link below is an Apache Axis 1.4 web service example that I found and got working: [login to view URL] It follows this structure: 1) create the application (a simple java calculator) 2) create an interface for it (a simple interface) 3) run java2wsdl against the interface to create a wsdl file 4) run wsdl2java to create the service and client files 5) create a simple Java client application to access the application created in step 1 But instead of a simple calculator, I'd like to modify the code in this example to create a file sender - a simple java application that will send a binary file (most likely as an attachment to a SOAP message). The client would then receive this file. So, I need help with steps 1, 2, and 5. Apache Axis doesn't have a tutorial for doing this (or if they do, I can't find it).

So you use Axis 1. It is quite different from Axis 2. And it is also easy to transport file. I can make it for you.
