Design/Illustrate the main character of a series of interactive storybook Apps!

We are creating a series of illustrated interactive storybooks in the form of iOS Apps, starting with the first book in the series, Milana’s Jungle Safari. Milana is the main character, a girl almost 6yrs old with a healthy sense of adventure, the first book is about her exploring the African landscape where she lives with her parents. Along the way she meets loads of interesting animals, for which we will be requiring an illustration/design of each in the very near future (the current project is only for 1 character). We need excellent vector illustrators who can deliver work in Adobe Illustrator .ai files, and with knowledge of sprites and designing characters that can be animated to help us, starting with this illustration, we hope to work with you on the remainder of the series, with an initial requirement of roughly 30+ separate character illustration/design projects. Generic bids that don't acknowledge a real understanding of the project will be ignored - sorry, but we are looking to form a solid relationship with an illustrator/designer who we can work with for the entire project, possibly the entire series of books. This is a genuinely good opportunity in terms of continued work, and you will see your work come to live as it's animated in an iPad App, for which you will be given full credit for your work in the credits screen alongside the author, developer and audio engineers' names who are already involved in the project. -------------------------- THE CURRENT PROJECT FOR WHICH YOU ARE BIDDING This illustration of Milana will be the style used throughout the entire storybook and the entire Milana franchise. Therefore this illustration is without question the most important of all. The successful illustrator of Milana will most likely continue work with us throughout the entire storybook and the franchise, so we are asking you to show your best effort on this particular illustration (approximately. 30-40 illustrations for the first book). Eyes: Hazel Height: Average Weight: Thin and lanky Favourite colour: Sky blue Other relevant characterisation elements: Wears boots, T-shirts and khaki shorts, loves to sing, tomboyish behaviour, adventurous, headstrong, affectionate, shy with strangers, adores animals. Specific requirements for this illustration Apart from providing the ‘style guide’ of sorts for the character of Milana, this graphic will be the one used on the ‘main menu screen’ of the storybook App. Although it is NOT a requirement of this project, we will require a backdrop and title text to design the entire ‘main menu screen’ using this graphic as the main illustration.
