Desktop Application Login/ Security

We have created a content based desktop application (adobe air) using flex builder 3. We need to create a user log-in system to protect our product from being pirated and used without payment. There will be 3 main issues to overcome. 1. Serial Number generator: The user must register before they can use the software. They can only register using a serial number that will ship with the application. This serial generator must be supplied by the coder. The coder should also provide a solution for printing these serial numbers that will ship with the application (in the same way that most software is shipped). The serial generator must be able to generate an infinite number of serials using an algorithm that can be recognized by the database that verifies the serials. There will be multiple desktop applications. Each desktop application will be shipped with a separate serial number. The database needs to be able to recognise what product this serial belongs to and store this information for that user. 2. Database connection: This system will connect to a database online that will store user information. This will include: username, password, first name, last name, email address, products (there will be a number of desktop applications we are making, this will store which applications they own), quiz results (including: product name, unit name, percent correct, correct answers, wrong answers, time taken, date submitted). 3. Display data from database: The flex application should be able to display data that has been sent to the database via a user settings panel. In particular, it will show results from quizzes that have been completed within the application. These quizzes have already been built. Your task is to capture the data it collates and send it to the database. These details are explained in more detail in the documents attached. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
