Adjusting a clip for website upload

I recorded 2-second clip for an actor's website, and when I tried to upload it, the website automatically cuts off one of my shoulders. I want to preserve image quality, so I want to be careful about cropping and stretching the image. I'm thinking one solution is to add a black column to the left side of the image, and cut off a piece of the right side. Is that possible in Final Cut Pro? I would be good to send you the screenshot of the website upload and the file...Thanks again! Jenny

Hi, Jenny. There's a couple of things I would need to know in order to make sure everything works perfectly, but it shouldn't be difficult at all. We had problems like yours constantly when I was working in television and we had a 3 stage problem solving system: first we need to make a deep analysis of the clip in order to rule out possible problems with the clip itself. Then we compare the specs of the file to the ones needed and finally, we isolate the problem and correct it. It shouldn't take more than a couple of hours.
