I have a rough idea for a custom camera crane rig and need an engineer to help design and create it. The idea is to get a rig to move a video camera along a 360 degree path, and fully circle the object it is filming. There are no electronic or motor elements, the object could be moved just by pushing it and using the force of gravity. The final result is for a low budget movie.
I cannot share the exact details, but it would include a stable platform in which the object is on, a large ball-bearing below, an extendable arm, and most hold a camera up to 50 lbs.
The unit should also be designed to be transportable. It doesn't have to look pretty. This is something that could be made in either a home garage or high end manufacturing shop, it just needs some creativity.
There is a tight deadline, so we would need to begin the project straight away.
