Hi I have very strong skills in LINUX Server's Administration, you can see my past working history and feedback's, i hope that i will retrieve or recover a lot of files from your disk image… I would like to do this task but before accepting to BID or Payment..because for recovering data have to take a look on many things so can you send me URL of your Disk Image so i start now to scan it. Hello Im Sourish, I'm an asterisk, vicidial and linux expert. I have installed more than 50 linux servers in last 3 years. I run a company which provides hosted asterisk and linux vps services globally. I would be doing a disk cloning using linux built in utility or a rsync king of application. This would do an entire disk to disk copy of data, folder, directory structure etc. I think i can complete the job within 3 days. Ok, I assume that your filesystem stored within disk image is clean and error free. If this is so then I could even lower my bid. Please provide some more details. I have 500Mbps uplink available and own infrastructure where you can upload image to and download structure. All depends on your requirement details.

Don't let my higher than average bid scare you off. I do this type of work a lot, so I have a lot of infrastructure available which makes it easier to complete the work. I do all the work on high-power servers in a US data center with high speed redundant internet access, so moving around large files / file sets won't take days. Unless the image is encrypted or running some strange file system, it should be no issue to mount up. I work with Ext2/3/4, Reiser, NTFS, vfat, XFS file systems in raw, vmware, iso, and a few other image formats. I can provide you with an NDA for us to sign, if you wish to confirm data privacy. Once I have the image, I'll know if I can complete the work within a couple of hours (ie: if the image is mountable/readable, etc). I have a lot of low-level experience -- I don't rely on fancy applications to the work for me, so if there are issues mounting the image and/or reading files (ie: corrupt file system, etc), I have plenty of knowledge and experience dealing with it.

Hi, I am a native English speaking (British) web developer, with extensive linux experience. I use linux daily on my home and work pcs along with managing multiple linux servers. You haven't specified what format the disk image is but I will be able to deal with it regardless. Keeping the folder and file names will be no problem, so long as they are present on the image. The one thing that I have to warn you is that if the image was created after the hard drive was corrupted then things may be trickier or impossible. In this instance the files may be recovered but file names lost, depending on the original file system. But if the image is from when the disk was working fine then will be able to preserve filenames without any problem. Either way I will perform the best job possible to get you all of your data. Mark

The image files of the Linux file is made with Virtual Servers like VMWare , Xen or is just made with dd? Regards I will put a server to upload all the information , internet dedicated also is used.

Hello. I can recover your files easily. I'm software engineer from Finland, currently working as C developer in large network security company. I have been using and administrating Linux both in by work and my home for more than 15 years. What you suggest is quite trivial to do, assuming we are not talking about recovery from broken or corrupted disk. Most of the time will actually go to downloading your image and uploading your files (what is your orignial image size and could it be compressed before downloading?). If your image is corrupted or broken, then I have to download it first to see what can be recovered and how easy job it is. Best regards, Antti Tiainen

I cannot guarantee that I will recover ALL the files and structure of the filesystem, but I will try to recover most of the system. Depending on how damaged the filesystem is. I can work on this project only if the filesystem if in ext3 format.

I can finish this normaly, also have good connection to pull this down and up again. Maybe i can even finish before, depends what happends to data before.5 days is maximum
