Deduplicating and clean up of Excel Database - repost 2

Dear Nicole, I'm a data cleansing expert as my profile states. I'm relatively new here, I just started bidding actively in December, but I have completed a couple of scrping and cleansing projects for which I got good reviews. That said I have a few questions: How many attributes (fields) do you have for each record? What qualifies a duplicate? For example two different persons can have the same first and last name. So do you have other attributes such as date of birth for instance to identify the duplicates? What if two records are qualified as duplicates (same name, dob, other id) but have for instance different phone numbers? Which record is the considered the correct one? You mention names having to be split in first and last, What about split last names or double first names? How to identify them? Are all the persons in one geographic area from the same ethnic group or would we have to deal with international names, which could make the splitting almost impossible as for instance Chinese put surname then given name as opposed to Americans for instance. These are just examples of questions. If you could send me a data sample (not all the records but all the attributes) that would help me pre-analyze your data set and refine the rules to be applied. This is to Nicole so as you know that I have read the description. I actually tutor for Microsoft Office at the local college and can have this done by Monday morning here in the US. Honestly, I will probably have this done by Sunday night some time. This is a fairly easy operation and can be easily completed.

I have plenty of data entry experience and feel a project like this would help to further my career on here by helping me gain some reputation and feedback. I feel I can complete this job within a few days but have put 10 days to be on the safe side in case anything slows my progress.
