I would like to hire a Copywriter

We are a B2B conference company that has two areas of focus 1) Canadian renewables procurement and carbon policies and 2) renewable energy in the global mining mining sector. We produce 4 conferences throughout the year on these subjects. In support of the events we commission content such as - industry/market overviews, speaker features/interviews and q&a type interviews. For each event of the four events there would be 4-6 articles of 1000-1500 words in length. The content for the articles is based on one to half-a-dozen interviews. We are looking for a journalist to create this content for us. We would aim to produce a quarterly editorial schedule but individual articles would have a 3-4 week turn-around time. For each article we would provide contacts for suggested interviews plus a brief. I have attached a number of different articles we commissioned in the last few months. We would need each of these articles print ready (i.e. we do not want to edit or correct articles) to deadline. Our previous content writer charged around $US25 per hour and spent approximately 20 hours for feature articles with multiple interviews. 8-12 hours for single interview articles. You need to have experience of this sort of writing - please send us examples. Subject expertise is not necessary but excellent journalistic skills are a must. You need to be comfortable contacting, communicating with, and interviewing busy, senior executives. You need to be accurate and able to meet deadlines. Does this sound of interest?
