Hi Christopher, I am not sure what you needed done, but I went a head and rewrote the copy in the file you sent.
Here it is:
According to agribusiness bank Robobank, Australia’s wheat crop for the coming year is expected to drop significantly due to a prolonged stretch of dry weather. The El Nino weather pattern is considered the cause and is expected to continue in 2016 before beginning to dissipate by fall.
“Farmers are reflecting on what promised to be a bumper crop, with yields downgraded across the country on the back of a hot, dry spring,” Robobank analyst Barry Larkin said.
With the previous October being Australia’s warmest on record, Robobank calculates a wheat harvest of 23 million tonnes, a 2 million ton drop from last years. Larkin said Western Australia will produce 9 million tonnes of wheat, while NSW and South Australia are expected to be less affected and yield an above average harvest.
Victoria has been particularly hard hit, with much of the wheat crop in the western region used to cut for hay. Queensland’s wheat harvest, experiencing the same dry spell, has been partly offset by more reasonable weather in the areas west of Dalby.
Nationally, barely is expected to hold steady and produce an above average crop, according to Larkin. However, Larkin said canola is forecast to be 12 per cent lower than last years. Despite the hit, Farmers, according to Rabobank, should benefit from further weakening of the Australian dollar, which
