Dissertation Prospectus

I am challenged with Adult Attention Deficit Disorder, and Information Processing Disorder. I thought that if I could earn an Ed. D. in Education to go along with my B.A. and M. Ed. in Education, I could become more of an inspiration to others with learning challenges. However, developing a prospectus by re-taking a course again has me stumped as I am not suppose to use my own words in papers previously submitted when I was told that I would always be adding to my initial research and writing, making professional changes as I developed my work into a full-blown dissertation that could be effectively defended, and published. I am again having difficulty understanding the directions. Of course, the professor (who doesn't understand my disabilities, nor knows how to help me), merely tells me to "read the instructions again!" I think some fresh eyes owned by someone who has written a dissertation, and has helped others write successful dissertations, may help me make it out of this course. I need this course in order to be accepted in my last core course before I spend the remaining 8 months finishing my readings for my research, completing my data collection and analysis, and writing my defendable dissertation. At 71 years old, I would like to have my doctorate earned by the time I am 72 next July. Thanks to all for any help you can give this senior citizen who is working part-time to be able to make it through my final 3-4 years of higher education! Ed Udell, Sr.
