DIRECTOR OF HEALTH EQUITY, 2021 Health Commons Project, Seattle, WA •As Director of Health Equity, I trained staff on disaggregating educational data, helped develop a roadmap and implementation plan for rolling out a school-based COVID-19 testing initiative, and used data from the National Center for Education Statistics to facilitate increased COVID testing for Washington state students with free or reduced-price lunch. OUTBREAK SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT EPIDEMIOLOGIST, 2020-2021 Washington State Department of Health, Shoreline, WA •In this leadership position, I mentored staff on epidemiologic principles and practices and contributed original programming logic for COVID-19 case tracking in order to significantly bolster regional capacity to slow the spread of infection during the pandemic. EPIDEMIOLOGIST I, 2017 – 2020 Public Health - Seattle & King County, Seattle, WA •In my first epidemiologist position, I was awarded $400,000 as Co-PI for a proposal to evaluate the cultural adaptiveness of Medicaid programs, pioneered a state-added question module for the national BRFSS survey, was recruited to our in-house team of Tableau trainers, appointed team leader for the S.C.A.N. (Seattle Coronavirus Assessment Network) project, and formally advised PHSKC EMS on potential gender equity improvements in service delivery. GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT, 2011 – 2015 Community Research Center – Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA •In this role as a research fellow, I developed data collection plans, drafted an in-house phlebotomy training module, co-designed a respondent-driven sampling study, and authored a Community Research Center Funding Proposal ($6000). menos

Currently, she is developing her PhD work in the Fardilha's lab under the supervision of Prof. Margarida Fardilha and Prof. João Mano. Her PhD project, entitled "Organoid technology meets male fertility: an innovative strategy to study and modulate sperm function" aims to develop an in vivo 3D epididymal organoid culture able to mimic the epididymis and blood epididymal barrier (BEB) functions to study the role of this organ on sperm physiology and as a tool for pharmacological testing. Daniela is co-investigator of a European Proteomics Infrastructure Consortium (EPIC-XS) funded project and participated as a team member actively engaged in the execution and management of 2 funded projects. In total, she is author of 3 full papers in international peer-review journals with a cumulative impact factor of 21.4, 2 book chapters, received 1 award, and given non-official supervision to several BSc and MSc students. menos
