There should be one button on a sheet to start and stop the macro (change the button's color between red (=running) and green).
When the macro is running, it should regularly check if a new USB VCP device (virtual com port over USB, available e.g. from FTDI, Silabs etc.) has been connected to the computer. If so, terminate the scanning and display the com port number in a message box, e.g. "COM9".
The CPU usage should be as low as possible, the code should be documented and run on a 32 and on a 64 bit Excel version. The macro shoud at least run on the versions 2016 and above.
