Please note we do not want to work with agencies on this project. We want to work directly with animation creators. We will also require example work and work will be checked the authenticity of the creator prior to engaging within the contract.

Project Overview:
The purpose of this animation project is to create a visually engaging and informative animation that demonstrates the process of directional drilling with trenchless technology, incorporating sonar scanning to locate cables and pipe work underground. The animation will target professionals in the construction and infrastructure industry, particularly engineers, contractors, and project managers. The goal is to showcase the benefits of directional drillings, such as minimal disruption, efficient pipe installation, and accurate detection of existing utilities.

Project Scope:
The animation should have a duration of approximately 4 minutes and cover the key stages and techniques involved in directional drilling with sonar scanning. It should provide a comprehensive overview while maintaining a clear and concise presentation.

Target Audience:
The primary target audience for this animation project is professionals in the construction and infrastructure industry, including engineers, contractors, and project managers. They possess a technical understanding of construction processes and are familiar with underground utility installations.

Animation Style:
The animation should be a combination of 3D and 2D elements, with a clean and professional visual style. The use of vibrant colours and smooth animations will help engage the audience. The depictions of equipment, machinery, and processes should be accurate and easily understandable.

Storyboard and Narrative:
The animation should begin with an introduction that highlights the challenges and risks associated with traditional trenching methods, particularly in areas with existing cables and pipe work underground. It should then transition into explaining the concept of directional drilling and how it overcomes these challenges. The animation should showcase the following key stages:

Sonar scanning: Illustrate the use of sonar technology to scan and detect existing utilities underground.

Drilling: Show the drilling rig and how it goes underground, guided by the sonar data, to create a horizontal path for the pipeline.

Pipe installation: Demonstrate the connection of the pipe work to the drill head, followed by the controlled pulling of the pipe back through the drilled path.

Site restoration: Depict the restoration process, including backfilling and surface repairs.

Character Design:
No specific characters are required for this animation project. The focus should be on accurate depictions of equipment, machinery, and the step-by-step process. Simplified representations of workers or operators can be included to illustrate their roles in the process.

Visual Elements:
The animation should include detailed depictions of the drilling rig, sonar scanning equipment, underground path creation, pipe connection, and the pipe installation process. Accurate representations of cables, pipe work, and other utilities should be incorporated. Emphasize the use of clear visuals and labels to enhance understanding.

Hi...
two serious issues :

1. we are Graphic designers, Not Engineers. without detailed script we can do nothing. even research wont give good results because we are not specialists in your field. this job MUST be done by you with a good references and pictures.

2. Your budget is incredibly low. no one who can do 3d animation will accept to do 4 minutes for 200 GBP !! . sure some newbies will say we will do it... but from you insisting on seeing previous work this means you have a bad experience with previous armature freelancers. your minimum budget must be at least 1500 GBP. and even with that number good animator will think twice before acceptation.
