We would welcome some minor changes that address these items if you are inclined to do so. Addressing the tendency of some tags to be missed might just be a matter of rewording Slide 7. It would also be nice to have a slide that addresses the CEP/machine learning ability to estimate locations even when the tags are not readily visible. Obviously this would not impact your award of runner-up if you choose not to do it. It would, however, increase the value to us, possibly in the animation.

One of the things we liked about the winning entry was the treatment of the CEP/machine learning to address a weakness in RFID technology - namely, that the readers will often be unable to read specific tags because they are buried or otherwise obscured. It also addresses both primary objectives of REALM-2 - improving location accuracy and extending coverage of REALM-1.

Honestly, I feel the winner went way outside the suitability parameters of the contest by writing a 3:40 long script. Even the 66 slides were overkill since for a 2 minute video they couldn't be up for more than 2 seconds. She's obviously not a videographer or editor and doesn't know how to read a script for length. Her entry, although a lot of work went into it, should have been disqualified.
