ADJUSTMENT/EDIT #3: I thank you artists for getting involved but at this point if I see anything else that's even remotely like any existing design I will not consider it any further. Please start getting original folks.

ADJUSTMENT/EDIT: Let's focus on the glyph/logo first. Text/fonts should be the after thought. A lot of entries are focusing on the word DOJO and that's not the focus. I need a logo/glyph first. I will include some examples of previous submissions to logo design contests.

ADJUSTMENT/EDIT #2: WE'RE GETTING VERY SAMEY AND COPYING EACH OTHER IN ENTRIES. I would encourage anyone new entering to think outside the current box and get a little unique. I've now seen some great versions of what I wanted. Show me some ideas I didn't know I wanted.

Please read through all of this description. We always get a lot of random submissions that ignore all of our instructions and those designers pretty much just get black listed. It's a 30 day contest. No Rush.

- Japanese themed

- Black and white or color is fine but any color version can only include Black, Red and White.

- Company Name is DOJO

- I would like it to include some kind of Japanese Dojo archway or a minimalist building signifying a dojo, however I'm open to abstract or new ways of thinking if its a cool idea.

- If you include the word DOJO the font has to look like modern Japanese kanji. The example attached of rocomoco's logo would be a great example. Some other examples of artwork and styles that we like are also included.

Maybe even play on the Kanji for Dojo which is easy to find on google. Either on or the other not both.

Just a note. I have attached examples and styles but PLEASE don't glue yourselves to these. Be creative. Icons, glyphs, Dojo Arches, Kanji, Japanese style art, Zen circles, abstract shapes, geometrics in a Japanese style we're open to everything and want to see tons of ideas. Just saying as we've run a LOT of projects in the past and see a lot of copying and aligning with high star rated submissions. Thank you.

We would like individual elements in the working file as we may wish to animate it later so one layer illustrations will be a little restrictive for us but if we love it we love it and it will be fine.

If we fall in love with something we will simply and quickly award it.

For a little context for those method designers amongst you who want in on our mindset, we are a production company making cinematic video projects, we have a lifetime of experience in martial arts and Japanese art so we are aligning our company to this way of life. We work predominantly in sport and artisans who make things with their hands so we are moving away from our rather young feeling brand www.doublejumpmediahouse.com and moving into a more mature feeling kind of brand.
