We are excited to announce a logo design contest for our cybersecurity startup, currently known as Authentix, as we transition to our new name, Anomal. This rebranding reflects our evolving focus and commitment to excellence in cybersecurity.

UPDATE (20. December 2023 - 7 pm):
I've just looked at the entries again and rejected the ones that unfortunately didn't make it to the final round. I have rated all the entries I like with 3 or 4 stars. Use the designs I have reviewed and rated as a reference and submit your final designs. I will not be extending the contest. My team and I will pick a winner tomorrow or Friday. We like minimalist designs the best - either just the owl head or the robot.

UPDATE (20. December 2023 - 2:30pm):
I'd love to see some robot designs and then I'm sure I'll be able to pick a winner. I can't thank you all enough for all the submissions. Of the owl and robot designs, I already have a few favorites, but I'll check back after my meeting, which starts soon, and then you'll get some final feedback before I pick a winner.

I love the new owl concepts! I'll try to give you feedback as soon as I can. I'm busy for the next hour, but after that I'll try to comment as much as I can. I'd love to see some more robot logo concepts. The robot and the owl seem to be my and our team's favorite.

I like the concept where the symbol is an owl, ghost or robot. I'd love to see a few more variations of this, but I've seen some great entries already. I have uploaded a few references for robot symbols in the project details.

UPDATE (19. December 2023):
Thank you to everyone for the logo submissions we've received so far. I appreciate the time and effort put into each design. However, I must share that, besides entry #346, none of the current designs have resonated with me as I hoped. For our company, it's essential that our logo is distinctive, unique, and memorable. I've noticed that many of the designs are quite intricate. We're looking for something simpler and less busy. I've taken some time to explore additional design ideas online and found that concepts involving an owl or a ghost seem more aligned with our business identity. I have uploaded a few reference concepts in the project details. I would like to steer away from commonly used symbols like shields or locks, as these are quite prevalent in the industry. I'm looking forward to seeing more creative interpretations based on this feedback. Thank you once again for your contributions and dedication to this project.

UPDATE (14. December 2023):
Thank you all for your contributions; we've received an overwhelming number of entries. After going through them, I've found that only one has struck a chord with me, coming close to our existing logo's appeal. I noticed that many designs featuring the letter 'A' haven't quite resonated with my vision. However, I've added a few more reference designs to help guide you. We're looking for something simple, distinct, and memorable. Additionally, logos with fully rounded corners don't seem to align with our brand's image. We prefer designs that are either edgy or have slightly rounded corners, akin to the references provided. Having reviewed the submissions, I'm also more receptive to logo symbols that don't explicitly depict the letter 'A', much like entry #353. Please take inspiration from these examples, but don't hesitate to innovate. Adapt and transform these ideas into something uniquely ours.

The Task:
Our current logo, which we are quite fond of, features the left side of the letter 'A' representing a wall, symbolizing our role as defenders in the realm of cybersecurity. We are open to keeping this concept, enhancing it to be more distinctive and memorable, or exploring entirely new ideas that capture the essence of our company.

Design Guidelines:
Symbol/Logo: I mainly need a design for the logo (symbol) and no typeface. The typeface is a good addition, but not a requirement. The logo should be a representation of the letter "A" from our name "Anomal". This name is derived from the German word "anomal", which means "anomalous". In the context of cybersecurity, it represents our focus on detecting anomalies to identify threats.
Uniqueness: We are seeking a logo that stands out. It should not closely resemble other logos, especially those in the cybersecurity field.
Conceptual Depth: The design can either build upon our current concept (the defensive 'A') or introduce a completely new idea that aligns with our focus on cybersecurity and anomaly detection.
Professional and Modern: The final design should look professional, modern, and befitting a cutting-edge cybersecurity company.
Application: The logo should be versatile, suitable for use on various platforms, including digital, print, and merchandise.

Submission Requirements:
· A clear, high-resolution image of the logo.
· Customizable and scalable format like an Adobe Illustrator file.
· A brief explanation of the concept behind your design.
· Variations for different backgrounds (if applicable).

Selection Criteria:
· Creativity and originality.
· Relevance to our company’s focus and ethos.
· Aesthetic appeal and professional presentation.

All based on research until at the last moment the contest turns into a place for spammers to spam robot heads those already in use for ai based websites thousands of times. The brief seems to have taken a back seat now!

This logo will represent our company in the future and we will decide carefully. As Head of Marketing, I can't make the decision alone. Our CEO and our core team will also be able to give their input, so I can't just quickly decide on a design. When the competition is over, we will sit down together and select the best designs.
