The goal of this challenge is to create an infographic to be used by the JSC Pharmacy to communicate within and external to NASA the role and importance of the JSC Pharmacy. Please keep this intent in mind as you create the infographic. Please consider all the information provided below and attached to this contest in the creation of the JSC Pharmacy Infographic(s).

Background

Our mission is to provide safe and effective medication therapies with a space medicine focus to our international and universal population that includes astronauts, medical support colleagues and other members of the occupational workforce. As we support living and working in a spaceflight setting which includes the international space station, commercial crew, and future exploration missions to the moon and Mars, the subject matter expertise of the pharmacist team stands pharmacovigilant to the uniqueness of providing medication treatments in both the planetary and space environments. As our space frontier expands, the pharmacist team will continue to be integral in the pioneering of pharmaceutical care in this unique realm.

The pharmacist team performs standard pharmacy activities such as dispensing medications, providing physician and patient education, tracking and maintaining the pharmaceutical inventory, and developing and maintaining pharmacy policies and procedures. The team is frontline to selecting medications for on-orbit medical care, medical kit development and ensuring that pharmaceutical treatments can be utilized in the unique environment of space. There are still many unknowns with respect to the stability of medications in the spaceflight environment and whether or not medications behave differently with the altered human body. The pharmacist team is present and positioned to support research in these gaps in knowledge.

- The JSC Pharmacy is the only pharmacy for NASA.
- The diverse and unique expertise in medications and the delivery of medications safely in a microgravity environment is provided by the dedicated team of pharmacists.

We will use the graphic in multiple ways at NASA, across digital and print media. We’re looking for creative, unique, and easy-to-understand takes on the JSC Pharmacy and how to convey and communicate the impact and role of the JSC Pharmacy.

Graphic Requirements:
- Infographic needs to include the NASA logo (https://www.nasa.gov/audience/forstudents/5-8/features/symbols-of-nasa.html) and the JSC Pharmacy logo attached to this contest.
- Source File Requirements: All original vector source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape and saved as layered AI or EPS files. 
- If a non-standard font is used, please include the name of the font and where it can be downloaded. DO NOT include any font files in your submission or source files.
- All text in the graphic should be converted to outlines.
- Preview/entry image requirements: Please submit your infographic preview image with a high resolution so we can see the details.

Other Preferences:
- Color palette is open.

Stock Photography Requirements:
- Stock photography is not allowed in this contest. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you.

Judging Criteria:
- Creativity: Did your submission highlight creative/unique facts of the NASA Pharmacy? Did your submission creatively convey the role of the NASA Pharmacy?
- Requirements: Does your submission meet the requirements as stated within the challenge? 
- Quality: Does your submission look fresh, professional, and clean?

Please note that NASA employees/contractors are not eligible for this contest.

  It probably means to expand all the text so when the file in opened in someone else's device the problem of missing font doesn't arise

  That line is for the awarded design to perform for file handover. Illustrator gives you the opportunity to change text into outlines or artwork. Basically, you change the text into an object, so you can no longer edit that text by typing. The plus side is that it saves you the trouble of sending fonts to everyone who wants to use the file.
