I am a Petroleum engineer and a reputed oil and gas and mining management professional having ~36 years of experience. I have played pivotal role in the development of oil and gas assets in Pakistan. This includes key role in establishing the business units of three MNCs including MOL Group, Tullow Oil and PGNiG and transformation of a mining asset.
In PGNiG (2014-16) as SGM, I conceived and implemented the long-term development strategy of the company and its assets. In MOL(2003-2014) as Senior Director Production I played pivotal role in developing an oil & gas empire, when the Operator (MOL) had less than 10% equity in the venture. This included key role in implementing monetization strategies for the oil and gas discoveries of MOL. Also, I effectively led its Production and oil logistics when the concerned region (KPK) was going through serious security challenges.
I have groomed hundreds of young professionals and played lead role in the development of oil and gas production, transmission and disposal infrastructure of the country including two major infrastructure projects (new bridge at Khushal Garh and crude decanting facility at PARCO).
In addition I have also made effective contribution in the mining sector by leading the mining enterprise named BME for ~3 years. During my tenure I increased its revenues by 90%, developed its long-term strategy and expedited development of a number of mining assets.
I qualified for MD-OGDCL among the top 3 in 2012 and for SNGPL and PMDC among the top 4 in October, 19. I have also served as Member, Working Group on Energy formed by the Government of KPK in 2013 as well as Chairman, Working Group on flared gases formed by the Federal Government in 2012.
Since the past around 2 years I am providing management consultancy services to the corporate sector. In addition, I am also a regular contributor to the mainstream media on issues of public interest (energy, governance, economy etc).
