The hybrid solutions will use highly fuel-efficient gas engines and solar photovoltaics (renewable energy systems) to generate power. Energy storage systems will keep excess power from going to waste while ensuring a reliable power supply.
This system will strengthen the distribution grid by buffering the impact off-peak power demand and supply. At the same time, it will increase generators’ lifespan and decrease associated operations and maintenance (O&M) costs by running them less and more efficiently. Some of the benefits of hybrid system include.

• Efficient and reliable power supply
• Fuel flexibility and independence
Dedicated sizing of the solar PV system will be defined by the availability of land within or nearby the proposed pawer plant however, it is recommended that this should not be less than 10% (1.2MW) of total generation capacity

1MW SOLAR PV & 1MWh Storage OFF-GRID TECHNICAL ANALYSIS

The energy audit conducted has a total of 427 public facilities and public lighting of 49 roads. The energy demand currently drawn by all the audited institutions is estimated at 20,885 kW (~20.88 MW) with the Oyo State Water Corporation having the highest current energy demand of 8,009 kW (~8 MW) while the judicial houses have the lowest current energy demand of 631 kW. An estimated future demand of 22.97MW is estimated premised on 10 % projected increase in demand. This projection is foreseen to occur as a result of increased business activities when power supply improves. The 10% projected increase is based on experience with similar installations and can scaled appropriately as future energy demand is defined.

Induction cooking is derived from the principle of electromagnetic induction by inducing eddy currents in the coil that get excited in the ferromagnetic material to cause heating. I'm this paper, solar energy is used as a source of power for the induction stove. This article aims to design and build a solar powered induction cook top supplemented by the mains power using half bridge topology and control the power output by varying operating frequency.
