We have a website build in WordPress. We have the standard "Posts" blog which is currently at [login to view URL] with a number of categories. Currently, main categories are BLOG, PRESS and UNCATEGORIZED. We also have a custom posts page called "Clients" which sits at [login to view URL]
Here is what we want to do:
1) (i) Make standard blog posts sit at [login to view URL]
(ii) Have a custom display of the recent blogs and blog list under [login to view URL]
(iii) Have a way someone reading the blog can optionally subscribe to updates from our company.
(iv) Make the author link go to [login to view URL]
(v) Include social share buttons.
(vi) have a sidebar whereby recent posts previews display (see [login to view URL] for an example). But we would also like an image about what we do there if possible.
2) (i) Make category PRESS posts display on [login to view URL]
(ii) Create a template in the press posts using custom fields whereby we can add a) an image (which will display on the press page), b) an external link to open in a new window (link to the online press item/news website, c) summary of the press item to display on .../press page and d) a date in UK format.
We'd like a similar but NOT a copy of [login to view URL]
3) We have a general page template including our header, footer and fonts used within our brand. Our blog and press page needs to keep in line with our branding. We have a number of images which can be used to create the blog template.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Only our staff will be posting blogs to the website and we will create additional categories.
I am happy for a WordPress template to be used providing it incorporates our header/footer and branding throughout.
We are happy for comments to remain on.
