German-Speaking Cape Town Tour Guide

I’m putting together a small network of independent guides who can host private, two-hour (or longer) walking tours of Cape Town in German. If you can also switch comfortably into English, Spanish, or French, even better, many visitors mix languages, and your ability to do the same will make their experience feel seamless. You’ll meet solo travellers or groups of up to six, set the pace that suits them, and weave in stories only someone who has called Cape Town home for at least a year or two truly knows. I’m interested in people who know their favourite corners of the city inside out, whether that’s the colourful front-porches of Bo-Kaap, sundowner spots along the Atlantic Seaboard, or the creative pockets hidden in the City Bowl. I don’t dictate a script; instead, you craft a personalised route that reflects your passions: history, street art, food, nature, or a bit of everything, so guests feel as if they’re discovering the city with a friend. Scheduling is flexible. You pick the days you’re available, I match you with travellers, and you earn US $15–20 (≈ ZAR 298–397) per hour depending on the final group size. Payments are processed the following week after each tour. Deliverables I expect: • A custom, two-hour (minimum) walking itinerary tailored to the traveller’s interests • Friendly, insightful guiding on the day, conducted in German with the option to pivot into English, Spanish, or French as needed. • A short post-tour feedback note highlighting what went well and any guest comments.
