Key framing project in Maya.

Keyframing project in Maya -

Create 3 work-in-progress screen shots. Create a playblast movie to upload. Should be done withing 24 hours.

Read the project description and instructions below. Also go through the attachments. A few instructions have youtube links for help.

Instructions :

Creating a game character with maya - [url removed, login to view]

Animation Assignment Part I

Keyframeing exercise (using [url removed, login to view]) - [url removed, login to view]!/url=./files/[url removed, login to view]

To create a playblast move:

a. RMB on timeslider, choose playblast []

b. Choose avi, leave quality at 70

c. Change the display size to custom, 720 X 486, scale to 1

d. Choose Save to file, click on Browse to select a folder and create a name for the movie

Animation Assignment Part II

Import an animation into Unity:

Drag the [url removed, login to view] into Unity project > Assets area

Select the bounceball, go to inspector, change the scale factor of the object to 100, press the Apply button

Go to the Rig section inside of the Inspector, for the “Animation Type” choose “Legacy”, Apply

In the “Animations” tab, change the wrap mode to “Loop”

Drag the bounceball into the scene and place it at (0, 0, 0), test the game, you should see the ball bounce up and down

Animation Assignment Part III

Create an animation inside of Unity

Create a GameObject > 3D Object> Cube

Go to Window > Animation, choose “create” button to create a [url removed, login to view] file

Change “Samples” to 30. Go to “Add Property”, choose Transform> Position

Start transform objects and add key frame animation in different time line

Press play to play back the animation

Export an animation from Maya to Unity - [url removed, login to view]

Gameobject primitive animation - create .anim and create animation curve, set keys and edit tangent

Activate a trigger animation using First Person controller and a Collider
