My name is Andrew. I am starting a home decor company that makes its products out of recycled and sustainable material. The product I am looking to create right now is a sculpture/statue of a buddha head. I plan on using recycled plastic as my material and plastic injection molding as my manufacturing process. I would like my model to be as manufacturer ready as possible. I will include files for references of what i am looking for. I do not know a lot about injection molding but from my research I am thinking that doing just the buddhas head is the best option for actual production. I would like the buddhas head to be 5-7 inches tall. If you are interested please message me asap with a picture or sample of something you have created in the past that is similar to what I am asking for. Andrew: Hello! My name is Bill Cresse. I'm a highly skilled & highly experienced mechanical engineer (25 years), product developer (18 years) & SolidWorks user (10+ years). I can model this part in SolidWorks, but first I would scan it. In other words, the best way to replicate the example Budha heads you provided, would be to scan them with 3D laser scanner, or structured white light LED scanner. The digital point cloud exported from the 3D scanner can then be used to create SolidWorks 3D model for plastic injection molding. I estimate I can complete this project in seven (7) calendar days for $250 USD. Thank you. Bill Cresse.
