Build a Completely New Application using Python 3 based on an Existing Excel Application

Build a completely new application – from scratch – using an existing Application which was created in Excel using ODBC connections to a PostgreSQL Database Accounting Application called Spire.

The objective is to build a new SPOKE application in Python 3.7.x.

This means you will need to build a UI interface from scratch (your choice of using Python or other language) as well as compile the finished application into a deliverable application.

We want to convert our SPOKE for Spire Application to a full Python 3 Application incorporating API technology.

To get an understanding of what SPOKE does, you can review SPOKE for Spire – watch 5 min demo ([login to view URL]) which is designed to allow multiple costings to be imported into the Spire Business Management Solution ([login to view URL]).

SPOKE imports basically only 2 values into individual product line items using the Spire Purchase Order Module.

SPOKE currently uses ODBC connections to a PostgreSQL 10.5 Database via Excel to perform controlled calculations and executes VBA script to import values back into the PostgreSQL database of Spire. We will provide full current Code for review. SPOKE needs to be completely rebuilt in Python 3 and use the Spire API and also incorporate functionality for Serialized and Lot Numbered Items.

Flexibility in code language will be considered depending on circumstances.

Requirements: Python 3.7, PostgreSQL 10.5, API integration and VBA knowledge an absolute MUST.

Looking for an Individual or team that will take ownership of this project and future projects. FLUENT English a MUST and Non-Disclosure Agreement/Confidentiality Agreement will be required.
