SUMMARY:
Write Java software to import ZIP-compressed XML files into a MySQL database.
Use the included Netbeans 8 project as your base line for this project. It has some import libraries that are needed for this project.
The project contains twenty two (22) DB tables that should be created and populated by data that is imported from zip-compressed XML files into these tables.
The import rules are defined in the included (pretty) self-explanatory spreadsheet: [login to view URL]
You will need to implement a simple interface for the data import, and a console application that uses your interface implementation and populates the data into
the corresponding DB tables. Most of the import rules are straightforward:
Each XML NODE is imported into DB COLUMN with the same name as the node. Also, the data itself is read mostly as is, with only a small number of extensions.
The deliverable of this project include:
MySQL scripts for creating all 22 tables. You will put those in a “ddl” folder inside the project’s folder.
Implementation of the import interface JAR file.
Java Console Application that calls your interface for the import process.
Everything should be delivered as a Netbeans 8 project.
