Greetings, I am currently studying history at İstanbul University but I have a keen interest when it comes to translation and journalism as well. In fact, I have previously interned as an interpreter and analyst attached to a French journalist working for "Aujourd'hui la Turquie" during and after the June 2015 elections. My work back then eventually included transcribing and translating interviews with a member of the interim cabinet of that time as well as Figen Yüksekdağ, then co-leader of the Peoples' Democratic Party - which as you might know is incredibly intertwined with the situation in Kobanê. I am more than willing to offer my previous knowledge on the issue for your service. I am also ready to don my would-be fedora and trenchcoat and get out in the field for research, interviews and any translation work you might require. I have personal and professional connections which might be helpful, both from my previous work experience and my heritage as a native of Eastern Anatolia. Payment would be very much negotiable, and I would prefer to negotiate as well due to my slightly unorthodox working habits: agreeing on pay per amount of work done rather than having an hourly rate would probably suit us both better.
