Rework of Android app

Undertake specific work to re-code, test and complete rework of an existing Android App. Specific work required: 1. EVENTS NOT PLAYING Sometimes events do not play at all, sometimes they play at the wrong times. This needs to be fixed properly. No faults – events must ALWAYS play when they are supposed to. Some of the faults that are reported to us: • First event of each day does not play • Other events sometimes do not play 2. NEXT SCHEDULED EVENT On home page app shows the next event - "Next Scheduled Event". This doesn't always work and doesn’t work for first event of the day. So “Next Scheduled Event” must work for all events and always show the next event that is due. 3. HOLIDAYS . App has "Holiday" function so user can set days where no events will play (Public Holiday). We had bug in first app where if user set July 2 as Holiday, events did not play on July 2 (correct) but also not play on July 3 (one extra day). Holiday function must work properly and only stop events on the days selected. 4. ALTERNATIVE SCHEDULE Alternative Schedule is like "different schedule" or "Different Day". We use this for rainy days where schools want to turn on "alternative schedule" that has different events. So, school sets "Alternative Schedule" (under "Manage Schedule") and saves it. It stays in memory and they turn on from home page when they need it. It must override normal schedule when turned on. When turned OFF, normal schedule must resume. We have problems with it not working when it is turned on. We have problems also when turned off and the normal schedule doesn’t work. 5. DURATION After event duration is set and saved for each event, any time user changes the song for the event, the event duration changes back to 12 seconds. This duration should not change if user is only changing song. The duration should stay the same. 6. VERSION On the “Support” page of the App, there is a “Version” number. When the bugs are fixed and you release new API, this must be changed to V1.2 7. UPGRADABILITY Ensure that upgrade versions allow existing schedules to remain and don't need to be created again after upgrade. 8. VOLUME LEVEL CONTROL Ensure that volume level is maintained when headphone jack is inserted.
