CX4F

This document outlines a specification for the CX4F system. The CXF4 System is a custom Contact Management System managing customer data on behalf of many clients. Each client will have many (up to 10,000) customers. Each customer has one address and other details. This document outlines the first-iteration of an agile project to deliver this system. This iteration focuses on the database schema design, data import (command line), data export (Excel and KML) and data validation. There is also a small user interface component. The system is required to interface with two external systems for Address Verification and Geo-Coding. This document should contain enough information to allow bid submissions, should more information be required, we will answer any questions. More information will be supplied to the successful bidder. The system must be developed using JAVA and JSP. A command line import utility parses a supplied excel file, for each record (row) in the excel file the system will verify that the address portion of the record is correct and then obtain a geo-code (latitude and longitude information) for that address. The record is then written to the database with the verified address and the geo-code information. There is one excel file per “client?? for data import. As stated before this file can have up to 10,000 “customers??. After import a user can log in and select a “client?? to view a portal page for that client. The user must be able to select this client from the list of previously imported client files. From this portal page the user will be able to view a summary report of the clients account and download a KML file for viewing in Google Earth. See attachment for full details. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. See attachment for full details. ## Platform The system must run on Apache Tomcat running on Windows, though it is expected that the system would run on any servlet/JSP container. The Database should be MySQL. The Software Architecture must be approved before work commences. The system must be developed in Java and plain JSP (No Struts or Faces) No GPL or GNU licensed software.
