OsCommerce Quick Fix!

Hello,
I need help getting my OsCommerce up and running.
I don't need fancy graphics or design, but just the meat and potatoes.
As you may know, OSCommerce sometimes comes bundled with a hosting package. When I install it from the web control panel it works perfectly, but I already have all my products on the old version!
(the one that doesn't work).
Passing all my products to the new account is simply not an option, so, here is what I need you to do:
Either, Get the old OsCommerce account working being careful not to overwrite the data (thousands of products! yes, I got carried away adding products thinking I could solve it later)
Or: Somehow transfer all these products to the new account (the one that works) and make sure everything is there, categories, subcategories, etc. I must warn you, I tried almost everything:
A backup "restore" won't work, Easy Populate solution *might* work (but I don't know how to use/install it) and the last thing I tried was copying all the tables from the old database to the new one in MySQL. I thought this would work but it didn't. The store doesn't read the products in the database. From all of this you may conclude that the easiest thing is to try and restore/install the OLD store.
This will probably involve one or more of the following:
*Making sure the account works well with the database
*Restoring the hierarchy of directories / making sure everything works
*Making sure posting images is possible (in the old account I couldn't post images).
Ok, that's it.....
