I'm using free php package called simplehelpdesk from simplehelpdesk.com. It works well for what it is, but it would be awesome to get a bit more functionality out of it. I am also interested in hearing of any additional coding ideas that are out there.
I want a way to subscribe email addresses to a ticket and send an email notification each time a note is added to a ticket or a ticket is assigned.
Once a ticket is closed then it is only visible in another category such as "completed tickets, or closed tickets" and not mixed in with open tickets.
I want to have an incremental ticket number assigned to new tickets, and when a ticket is assigned, closed, or changed then a note with a time stamp and the name of the user who assigned or closed the ticket is logged to the ticket.

I already have a system like this in place that we built. Implementing those changes would be very easy and quick. Not to mention cheap. We also have some good ideas and suggestions we may be able to share.
