Wordpress Based Live Chat (text based)
Our WordPress-based website [url removed, login to view] allows for mental health therapists to be found and connected with by potential clients.
Clients can browse listings of therapists and filter by various criteria (language, skills, gender etc.) to find a mental health therapist to their liking.
Therapists sign up to create an account on the site to display their listing. As such, they are a WordPress user and can login to create and edit their listing.
Each therapist is represented by an instance of a "listing" custom post type and has their own post a unique URL displaying a series of custom fields relating to their personal and professional skills.
We are wanting to create a live chat (text based) system that allows a client to connect with a therapist from [url removed, login to view] via a chat window that appears on the therapist listing page on [url removed, login to view]
So, each therapist can receive chats directed to them. Also, each user (client) on the site can initiate a chat session with any therapist of their choice.
The practitioner would need to be logged in to their WordPress user account in to set their availability and accept live chat. If they are available, they would receive notification of an incoming chat request. If not available, they would receive an email notification that a user wanted to contact them.
A client/user doesn't need to be logged in to initiate a chat.
