Communication Interface (Tablet to Laptop)

I run an 'escape room' business where groups of people are locked into a room and need to find clues and solve puzzles before escaping the room within a 1 hour time limit. Each game is supervised by a gamesmaster located in an office. Teams communicate with the gamesmaster to ask for clues by walkie talkie. I want to change this. I want teams to communicate by using a tablet. The gamesmaster will use a laptop. I want teams to be able to ask for clues using the tablet and the gamesmaster can respond. Effectively using something like msn/skype to chat by typing. On the tablet, the screen should be divided into 2. On the left should be the text. This will show the chat history. Teams can type any question they have using a pop up keyboard on the tablet screen. On the right, there will be a countdown clock (60 minutes to 0). This will tell teams how much time they have left. Gamesmaster will start the countdown from his laptop. Also on the right should be a big button titled 'request a clue'. This is for teams who dont want to write text or be specific. They can quickly request a clue from the gamesmaster. Also on the right should be my company logo. See attached for potential layout of screen on the tablet. The gamesmaster will use a laptop and will have the same looking screen. Obviously the 'request a clue' button will not do anything for him. Gamesmaster will use laptop to start the clock countdown. The interface should look good. I will send more info on overall look to interested parties.
