I want to have a Firefox extension that takes a screenshot from the current page, opens it in a new tab and displays it in a Javascript canvas object. The firefox extension should work both on Mac and Windows. As a reference: I would like to have something like this: [login to view URL] but the tool should only display the image in the new tab without providing all the tools from in Lightshot. This is a very urgent project and should be delivered within the following 48 hours.

Hello, The screenshot will be of the whole webpage or you would want to select a specific area like snipping tool in windows? I mean, lets say the FF extension gives a button right beside the address bar. What should happen when user clicks it? I guess you want the currently opened webpage to be opened in a new tab, but in an HTML5 canvas, so that it can be saved as an image, right?
