Allow for PHP embedded in TinyMCE Edited Pages

We use OSDial in part of our call center operations and have a need to be able to embed PHP inside script pages that are managed by OSDial and edited via TinyMCE. There are two needed deliverables for this project: (1) Determine how to stop TinyMCE's verification routine from "commenting out" embedded PHP (i.e., lines that start with " <?php " and end with " ?> ", and (2) cause TinyMCE to *not* display the PHP code in the wysiwyg view (just like it already does with comments enclosed with " <!-- " and " --> "). The desired behavior is to be able to go into the "code view" and embed PHP, then close it and have it function as expected (i.e., work like any HTML page with properly embedded PHP).
I have already attempted to use a suggested solution of embedding these settings in the [url removed, login to view] area (it did not work):
protect: [
/\<\/?(if|endif)\>/g, // Protect <if> & </endif>
/\<xsl\:[^>]+\>/g, // Protect <xsl:...>
/<\?php.*?\?>/g // Protect php code
If you need clarifications, please do not hesitate to ask. I have attached the PHP page which invokes the editor (and includes the "settings" for the embedded TinyMCE instance) and the actual Javascript which "is" TinyMCE.
