WEB DEVELOPER (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) Can you build what you imagine? We are talking interactive! Web, mobile, apps! Our client, a global agency located in Downtown Toronto, is actively recruiting for a Web Developer for an onsite assignment. This Web Developer assignment will be responsible for supporting the development life cycle of digital initiatives, including requirements analysis, determining optimal technical solutions, and implementation based on design requirements. The Web Developer will understand their assigned accounts, in terms of understanding the business, experiential requirements, and specifying technical requirements of the projects. In addition, the Web Developer will provide advice and recommendations from a developer perspective at early project stages serving as a sounding board for technical feasibility. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, the Web Developer will apply their knowledge of programming standards and, when appropriate, developing reusable components that positively impact future projects. The incumbent is expected to abide to code standards and best practices, and work together with a team that is passionate about their craft and pursues excellence in all that they do. He/she will be working with people in a creatively fueled and fun office environment. Qualifications: The ideal Web Developer will come with 2+ years of web development experience, in addition with Hand-coding HTML, CSS, JavaScript, including a thorough knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 is required. The Web Developer will have a solid background in PHP, MySQL (LAMP/MAMP), JavaScript frameworks (specifically JQuery). He/she will have familiarity with CMS solutions, developing for social platforms, working with social APIs, and cross-browser, cross-platform, cross device unit testing.
