Job Description:
Your job will be to build a Social Business Network for the yachting and sailing industry. The main function and object of the network is to build a link and connection between yacht owners, captains and other crew. The purpose of this is to facilitate the effort of bringing together a crew for mid sized sailing yachts.
The design should be modern and simple to use. Innovative, simple, creative, smart are a few words that describe the functionality and design we desire. Think [login to view URL] or www.linkedin.com.
The functions:
On the site you will be able to become a member and select a position, as an example: Yacht Owner, Captain, Cook, Deckhand, Skipper etc. As a Yacht Owner you will also register your yacht. As an example, The Ocean Flower. Then The Ocean flower can be linked to it's crew and captain in the Social Network. You will be able to view past crew, past routes the yacht has sailed and other information regarding the yacht and crew. As crew you will also on your profile have a personal information describing yourself and you ambitions as a sailor as well as your level, if you are very new to it or very experienced. Then you will also in a organized system be able to ad your formal information. Such as licenses, certificates, degrees, education former jobs, current job etc.
Every profile and yacht should also be able to have pictures of themselves.
The site will also have a forum where you can exchange information and help answer each others questions about yachting and sailing.
