Repost: news from twitter on a website similar to paper.li

We have a website in joomla. Our goal was to make a special component with news on the frontpage. We hired a programmer and asked him to do something like paper.li. He did more than half the job, but it is not completed. Some sections by subjects. How it works: it makes a search on twitter with keywords and just put a link on frontpage, under a category, like HEALTH, POLITICS, SPORTS, ARTS, etc. The main part is called HEADLINES. These are small summaries of articles, taken from our tweets, and put on the frontpage. Everytime we tweet, we retrieve the first words of the articles + title + link and we put the title, link and first words on the frontpage. These summaries are written in a SQL database and I know it works with cron...I think. But do not ask me how it works!! But I have the contact of the guy who did it. The task is to improve that. Make it nicer, BUT ADDING A PICTURE, but changing the DESIGN, by making a link to WHO POSTED THE LINK... Check on paper.li. We want very similar. Our website is isaan DOT com That is the first job. Second is to fix our facebook login. It does not work anymore. I was told the following: "It requires to upgrade the facebook code to adapt to OAuth 2.0 of Facebook. I know sourcecoast released newer version which suppor this ( from version 4.x)" We do not have an account at sourcecoast. But we hope it can be fixed permanently. If possible, we would like the first job to be done OFF LINE and when we are satisfied, to upload on main site. And if possible, before January first. If not, give me a date, but after January 10 is too far. We want something quickly. Login is quite important. Thanks.
