About Us? - ? What we do - ZimboLink agents work through church groups in Zimbabwe where they find entrepreneurs who need loans or investment for their businesses. We profile the potential borrowers and take down a summary of the project requirements, loan amount requested, the term of the loan and the %? interest they can afford to pay back. We then upload? project details and this is where you, the lender browse the projects and borrowers profiles and choose a project to lend to. Once a project is chosen, a call to the borrower is scheduled if requested to talk over the project and give the lender/investor a better idea of whom he or she is lending to. You then send ZimboLink your loan amount via paypal and ZimboLink then collates the money for the project where more funds are required and then sends the money to Zimbabwe where it is given to the borrower in cash, along with a smart card that will keep track of their account payments and repayments. The borrower then over the term of the loan repays the principle and the interest and ZimboLink retains a % to fund project mentors who are specialists in certain fields that can advise borrowers on the expansion of their business. Some project promoters will be looking for investment into their business in which case the investor will take a stake in that company. In this case ZimboLink will take a 2.94% stake in the company as a finders fee and the dividends due over the long run will go towards the mentoring programme. News Section - This must be updatable by the site administrator. Mentors - If requested by the borrower a mentor can be assigned to their project to help them expand their business. (keep this section disabled for now) Skills Bank - Individuals can register their skills to offer to entrepreneurs in need for free or at a stated daily fee. Each card must have the details above of the borrower on it.
