Overview:
-Create a html form that will accept up to 50 part numbers, 1 part number per line.
-When submitted, 1 field in a mysql table will be searched for matches to all part numbers within 1 field.
-The results will then be displayed grouped by the users choice of either "distributor" or "part number".
-Clicking on the Distributor link takes user to distributor details page with contact information and listing of part number hits for selected distributor.
Search Form Details:
-Html form should be 1 large text entry box so that part lists can be cut and pasted from a spreadsheet, word document, etc.
-Search form to have the option to save the part number list as a cookie so that when the user goes to the site again their previous list will show in the search area. The user should be able to change and save the list at any time.
-Non alpha-numeric characters need to be removed when search is submitted but should remain in the saved list.
-Search should be of the type "begins with".
Results Page Details:
-Default search results should be grouped by vendor, the vendors with the largest number of hits first.
-Users should have the option of resorting the results grouped by part number.
-Results should be paged with choice of how many to be displayed on each page.
Distributor details page:
-Show distributor contact information
-List all part numbers in the searched list associated with the selected distributor.
-Use PHP for all database searching and results.
