Hi, I need a stock market game developed very similar to that at [url removed, login to view] and www.stocksquest.com. The game will be implemented into an already well established investing website. It would be a basic stock portfolio with a leaderboard to compare how good you're doing against others.
Some basic options would include, Buy Stock, Sell Stock, Portfolio, My Account, Leaderboard, etc. Don't know for sure but I imagine you could pull the data directly from Yahoo Finance. To buy and sell stocks, I would like the user to have the ability to click on a list of stocks (like [url removed, login to view]) but also have a symbol search box (like [url removed, login to view]).
A good leaderboard to see your ranking against other players is desired. I would like the ability to have daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, etc. leaderboards. Simple movement indicators on the boards (maybe percentages too?) would be great.
Target audience is for beginning investors so a simple process of getting into and playing the game painlessly would be great.
The game will be free to play but require registration, which I also need set-up. I'm not sure what type of admin panel would be needed, but we can discuss. Script installation may be needed depending on how complex it will be to set-up. NDA and demo also required prior to payment.
I would assume php or javascript with MySQL would be the way to go on this but I'm not sure.
