I am considering re-inventing a domain I have. [url removed, login to view] is currently not being used and I am considering the following business option:

Creating a web based backup system and inventory (another project refers to this) and maybe additional services marketed towards smaller businesses with few or no IT support/experts.

The idea being SME (small/medium enterprises) use the web site to backup vital documents etc offsite (desktop to website!), allow for support via a live chat system (freelancers with technical ability register etc)

I am asking for providers ideas on how this can be achieved with ease of operation for the business users.

Ideas in my head at the moment include java based ftp program - downside not all systems will allow java apps; using a simple ftp prog built into the web page (file manager etc) - good live chat system which reverts to ticket based system if online help not active etc.

Please enter bids for the the creation of your recommended solution - index page to advetise the services available and allow user registration (link to paypal system etc) and login to users members area (options to upgrade and register for additional services etc) will be provided independantly (I will do this in conjunction with other projects on here - or you can include it in your bid (give details in PMB))

Please bid accordingly on the scripting/application side and design if applicable - include in PMB message as much detail as you can on the concept you envisage.

Must stress that this is an enquiry only at this stage as cost will be a very important factor; but the lowest bidder will not necesarily be the successful provider when the project does happen.
