I need to enhance my video surveillance web application by embedding a feature for Mobotix cameras.
The problem is, that e. g. Axis Cameras have a clear interface for mjpeg stream like "http://nn.nnn.nnn.nnn/mjpg/video/mjpg". This is not the case for Mobotix Cameras. Instead they offer a - presumably proprietary - format called "MxJPEG". On the website "http://developer.mobotix.com/MxPEG_SDK/mxcpc/index.html#mxpeg_player" they provide a conversion tool "mxg2mjpg", which should allow a compensation of the missin video-stream interface.
Your job is to enhance the existing perl cgi-scripts so that this camera-type is embedded in the application.
Besides I look for permanent assistance in this kind of application, so that future projects can be handled witout the necessity to start on scratch each time.
