Hi I have (or should I say had) a datacollecter built for me that connected to one of the UK spreadbetting APIs and collected tickdata/quotes everyday and stored it in a mysql database.
The program runs on Linux and was built with python. The data is then stored in an mysql database, which is accessed via phpmyadmin.
Up little while ago, the data collector no longer works, and I am looking for someone with the relevant skills in python, mysql, linux than can fix this for me (unfortunately I can no longer get hold of the freelancer that built it for me in the first place).
I do not know the exact reason why the datacollector doesnt work, and I have exhausted all the simple, basic checks that I could do myself i.e. the database has been reduced in size, API passwords and keys are still working etc.
I do not envisage the project being too difficult for someone with the skills in python, mysql (the whole data collecter was built in only a few hours)
Would prefer to work with someone that has experience of datacollection, tickdata, APIs, python etc, and preferably a native English speaker that I can speak to on the phone/skype if necessary.
